Aveling & Porter Showman's Engine 8601 "Albion"
This Aveling & Porter showman's engine was built in 1915, registered OT 4239 and weighs in at 12 tons. It was registered in Portsmouth as a road roller and was converted to showman's style very much later. It is seen here leaving the show field and climbing the cobbled bank near Rowley Station on the Beamish Steam Event cavalcade.
