Next Stop, Kankakee

Passing Riverdale's Metra Electric station, Amtrak SC44 4605 is in charge of train 393, the southbound 'Illini'. Its next station stop will be Kankakee, rather than Homewood, whose Amtrak platform is being rebuilt. Four tracks of CN's Chicago Sub and two of Metra's Electric District vault over the (not so) Little Calumet River here on huge truss bridges.
