Talgos Over the Menomonee
Headed for storage at Amtrak's Beech Grove facility near Indianapolis, two Series 8 Talgo trainsets cross the Menomonee River in Milwaukee, moving south on CP's C&M Sub. The trains were retired from Amtrak Cascades service by WSDOT following the 2017 wreck involving one set (and their replacement/supplementation by Series 8 equipment). It was very strange to see these trainsets (the 'Mount Olympus' and 'Mount Hood' respectively) again, and so far from their home, as between 2000 and 2010 I rode both many times.
