First-Timers
Likely experiencing not only their first ride on Milwaukee's new streetcar line ("The Hop"), but their first ride on rail transit, period, a couple gazes out the window in a northbound car headed to Burns Commons on the evening of the line's first day in revenue service.
While visually attractive, I personally found the electronic displays onboard these Brookville Liberty streetcars slightly odd. In particular, the "next-stop" graphic display shows the next two stops ahead of the current one plus the terminus, but none of the stops in between. This could be confusing for new riders, apparently implying that (for instance) there are no eastbound stops made between Cathedral Square and Burns Commons, when in reality there are three. The M-Line is short enough that a linear map showing each stop along the route would be more efficient.
