Recently repainted into a Milwaukee Road tribute livery, complete with "beer sign" and Hiawatha logos, Metra 405 sits on Track 5 at the north side of Chicago Union Station, waiting to depart with Milwaukee District North Line train 2125. On Track 9, empty equipment for another Milwaukee District, or perhaps North Central Service, train arrives, ready to load evening commuters. Beyond, Amtrak's 'Empire Builder' has just arrived, and a red cap has shown up to fill the luggage cart and assist passengers into the station.
