South Shore Freight's "Belt Job" has just crossed NS's ex-PRR South Chicago & Southern and is moving onto the gauntlet track at Hegewisch station. This area is as far south and east as one can be in the City of Chicago; thus, Hegewisch is a very busy station during the South Shore Line's rush hours, as the neighborhood lacks any other (direct) transit service to downtown Chicago.
