Five Hours Late
On BNSF's Chicago Sub, Amtrak train 6, the 'California Zephyr', is running a little over five hours late as it skirts the east end of UP's Global I intermodal yard (to the right) near Union Avenue interlocking. The southernmost three tracks (to the left) are new extensions of BNSF's Western Ave Yard, for train holding. The array of searchlight signals in the background are soon to be replaced.
