Westmeadows Melbourne Victoria
The township originally known as Broadmeadows was on one of the original roads to Sydney (still marked further north as Old Sydney Road) as it crossed the Moonie Ponds Creek. The area known as "Broadmeadows" moved further east over the years to be near the railway line, and the original township and surrounding area became Westmeadows, known locally as "Old Broadmeadows" or "Old Broadie". The main road running north-south which originally ran through Westmeadows moved slightly west with the constuction of a new bridge over the creek.
