Dunlop Olympic Factory Site West Footscray

by WindscreenCam

The remains of the massive 22 acre factory complex that became the Dunlop Olympic factory in West Fooscray before most of the manufacturing was shifted to China.

At its peak this complex employed 2,145 people, nearly all men, who came not only from the immediate and surrounding areas but from all over Melbourne.

The only remaining structures are the old factory and administration buildings and a more recent administration building on the eastern edge of the site.
