Life is over......

The sockeye salmon are coming back to spawn in Scotch Creek, where they were born 4 yrs ago. After they are born they head out to the Pacific Ocean and then make their way back 4 yrs later to lay their eggs and then die, completing their life span. They turn red as they prepare to spawn. There is another run starting soon at Adams River nearby here and will run through October. The Salmon Run of 2010 is said to be the largest since 1913 (I believe that's the right year).
