Found this beautiful Song Sparrow. This guy is not normally one that we see all year. Love the colorful markings.

 

Yes, song sparrows do migrate, but it depends on their location. Those in the northern parts of their range migrate south for the winter to the southern U.S. and Mexico, while many populations in the southern half of their range are non-migratory and stay year-round.
