Kitchen Steam Boiler

Two boilers in the Victorian kitchen at Dunster Castle heated by afire beneath them and including safety valves to ensure they didn't explode. The steam was used for several purposes including the hotplate on the kitchen worktable. There were also vertical spit rods in front to roast meat.
