1920s polychrome chandelier
Another thrift store find. Original polychrome (multi-colored) paint, amber glass teardrops, and all the gold-colored cloth wire in great shape. Unusually for the era, rather than being made for bare bulbs (usually a pinkish-orange tint intended to look romantic and be pleasing to mi-lady's complexion), these turn-key sockets have clamp-on fitters for glass shades. I've put on the five nicest shades I have; this was taken just after I got it up and hadn't fully lamped it yet. I had to wire the chain up, as it normally hangs much lower.
This fixture has been moved to the new studio addition.
