Hunza Fort Doorway

This is typical doorway entrance into an old Pakistan building, intricately carved by a method called chip carving. Probably made from Lebanese cedar. Hunza Fort, Karinabad Pakistan.

We often acquire doorways like this when they are replaced because of age or when the building is modified. In many cases they are used as the entrance to a portable dwelling called a yurt.
