Baron Samedi

is depicted in the sculpture behind the man. The Baron is head of all the Lwa (spirits) who will end their 40 days of rest during Lent by reappearing. according to the Voodou religion.

I'm off to an event/gig at the hotel made famous by Graham Green in his novel "The Comedians".

The Olofsson Hotel serves a mean rum sour and i shall try to respect the rum and the Lwa tonight.

But now a snooze..the jet lag has played havoc with my sleep patterns.
