Culture clash

St. Patricks day in Belfast. A celebration of being Irish. A day to be proud. A day to inbibe (if so inclined but it's encouraged). It's also a day to ignore if you choose, after all it IS about choice. So today, of all days there was a flag demonstration because apparently it is a designated day. No not a designated day to be celebrate being Irish/Oirish but one of THOSE 17 designated days at Belfast City Hall that the Union Flag will fly. So it was a designated day to go out of your way to be offended and stir up some shite.

But do know what? I know the people involved in lubricating friction are in a minority and do not speak for the majority. Their bully boy mentality will not prevail.

I've had a helluva weekend meeting people from Belfast aswell as folks from Hungry, Holland, France Italy,Poland. Slovakia, and Thailand. And it fills me with positivity and smiles.
