My friend Helen Orozco shares photos of her desk and things she comes in contact with on a daily basis. It's always cute when she does it ... so, um, whaddyathink? ... What? ... Don't look at me that way. Well, it's a corner of my home office desk, where I spend about half my life these days when I'm not sleeping in airports. You see my electric kettle (Culinary Obsession) where I get my hot water a few times a day to which I squeeze concentrated lemon juice that comes from those little yellow lemon-shaped plastic containers from Italy. Hot lemon water is my choice now over coffee or tea because I am living small. We've been saving about $45-50 a week this month, not going to Starbucks. The illuminated mess in the photo is a bunch of cute animals, you can't tell because they're lit up from the inside and it's kind of freaking them out. My sister calls them cutesters. Believe it or not, this mess came from either Barneys New York or Nordstrom and I suspect it cost sister a tidy bundle. It buzzes when it gets hot. (Like my hubster.) Noah is very often under the desk here keeping my feet warm but he was only there about an hour today because he's had too many beans or something and I kind of encouraged him to take off when I was actually starting to see the air in here.
Anyway ... well, now I've shared what I look at every day. Hold back your enthusiasm and save it for the weekend.
