Vatican: Saint Peter's Basilica

Italian High Renaissance architecture. Construction of the basilica began in 1506 and was completed in 1626. it was designed principally by Donato Bramante, Michelangelo, and Carlo Maderno, with the piazza and fittings by Gian Lorenzo Bernini.
