I took this photograph of Billy Bragg at a music and events festival.

 

Nikon D40. Bloomin sunny. Thankfully i had a Hoya circular PL filter, ø67mm circular polariser.

It was good of him to look over at me wrestling with a camera. It was good of him to turn up.

Bands up, in & lined to perform were The Human League, The Zutons, Candi Staton, The Magic Numbers, Billy Bragg, Idlewild et'c - around 100 - tag listed on the other column. Idlewild i think was the previous name of JFK airport.

 

Phil Kay was in the comedy tent where he'd tunnelled all the way from his house, and a big straw man was there, he was on fire.
