I thought this was so perfect, so colorful, so beautiful, that I had to put it in this gallery. Wes is an old Flickr friend who always creates beautifully focused, sharp images, and this is a find example of that talent. These developing maple seeds are so wonderfully photographed, the image made my jaw drop.

And here is another one by Daniel Cheong. This image is from when he was in Prague. He has either taken this shot straight, or has put this shot together from different places in Prague. I know he has edited it masterfully. I just love this, with the gorgeous arches, and then the gorgeous street, with the man walking in the mist, the reflections, the light and shadows, the beautiful church at the end of the street! Extraordinary!

Tom has two photos in a row in this gallery, because of his spectacular photography showing this rainfall over the mountains, with the dramatic sky, the lightning, the distant hills, the beautiful light and amazing waterfall-looking rain, along with the perfectly focused foreground which includes a weathervane! Took my breath away!

Tom is a wonderful new contact of mine, here on Flickr. He lives out in Colorado, near the mountains, and he takes all sorts of excellent photographs. I was so impressed by this 100 photo focus-stack of this really unusual insect, that I just had to put it in here, to be seen. It is a really tiny bug, which apparently eats even smaller bugs it finds in flowers. I have never seen one before!

Jacques has been in this gallery twice before, and now he has done it again... he knocked my socks off with this gorgeous autumn scene. It is just the kind of scene which makes autumn my favorite season. I love the arch of the bridge, the splendid golden foliage, the strong black of the tree trunks, the beautiful reflections, the soft mist. Wow! Simply wonderful.

Tom lives in the southwest USA and takes wonderful, and often, magnificent photos of his area of the world. This one, with the marvelous lines and colors, the perfect silhouette, the perfect composition, the miracle of the tree growing there in a crack in the cliff, and the sheer grandeur and beauty of the place, definitely takes my breath away when I look at it.

I have had ...arpi... as a contact on Flickr for a long time now. She does beautiful B&W work, showing stark shadows, silhouettes, shapes and forms, surprising lines and perspectives. And reflections. Arpi is a master at puddle reflections.
Sometimes she DOES use color, and it is always when the color adds something wonderful to the image. Here is a gorgeous inverted puddle reflection. It will show why I admire her work so much.

Jacques is a contact here on Flickr. I don't know him well, but I do know he takes gorgeous photographs. Here is an example of his excellent ability to compose and focus perfectly. The light in this image is so beautiful, and the colors of the autumn trees are wonderful. I love the rocks in the foreground, and how they catch the light. The light on the background hills, against the vivid blue of the sky is the final touch of beauty.

This is an unusual shot to put into this gallery, but I just loved it. This is an old Flickr friend of mine, Steven, who loves making incredible composite photographs of great complexity. This time he simply used a special lens and took a photo of his Christmas tree. Since the result is very similar to how Christmas trees looked to me, up until I got my first pair of glasses when I was nine, perhaps it touched a nostalgic button in my memory... but whatever the reason, I think it is beautiful, unique, cleverly done, and wonderful.

Jacques is an excellent photographer, whom I have been lucky to meet, on Flickr.
This photo of mushrooms, so vivid, so colorful, so interesting and artistic, so perfectly focused.... is a good example of his work. He surprises me sometimes with his images.... I think this is the best mushroom photo I've ever seen.

Daniel is a more recent contact of mine. He is followed by thousands, and it is easy to see why. Every image he creates is astounding in some way or another. This image of the night sky is astounding in so many ways, that I had to create this new gallery to hold it. Every detail of this image seems perfect to me.
