Jon is already in this gallery (and several other galleries of mine). This photo of two rows of trees and their reflection, with walkers, just wowed me so hugely that it had to come here to the autumn gallery! Jon is so good at getting different points of view, different compositions. This is a good example of that.

I am lucky to have fallen into a friendship with Trond, who lives in Norway.... it must be someplace very far north in Norway. He has shown me so many scenes of his land, and I have reveled in each and every one of them.
Autumn is particularly beautiful where Trond lives, and many of his photos are taken in the autumn. Here is one... taken in early October....so beautiful it inspired me to start this gallery!
The colors are unmistakably autumn, yet it is so completely different from anything I have ever seen with my own eyes, that I find it to be completely fascinating. The grand sweeps of color across the image, the deep rusts and bright oranges with the pale muted yellow and greens... wow! Then there is that touch of deep deep red. Just looking at this makes me happy.

Birgitta lives in Sweden, and so she has her autumn colors before I do, in Ohio USA. It seems to me that every image Birgitta puts on Flickr is supremely beautiful... stunningly beautiful. This one is so beautiful I had to put it here. I've been trying to choose one of her autumn photos to put here, but I couldn't decide. The beauty of this one pushed it to the top of the list for me!

Jon has been featured in some of my other galleries, and is a dear friend of mine. Jon, although born American, lives in London, England. Here he gives us a wonderful misty autumn day on the 1st of November. This image is so perfect it took my breath away! The colors, the light, the mist, the fence, the curve, the man, the dog... wow! Incredible image.

Linda is a New York USA photographer, who has shown me, many times over, how beautiful the state of New York is. She specializes in turning photographs into digital paintings, using brushes she has made herself, and great skill.
This wonderful photo, with every color in the rainbow showing in it, is such a perfect example of her work, and such a perfect example of how you need darkness to really show the light, that it made my jaw drop! So delicate in many ways, so sturdy in other ways... wonderful lines, incredible colors and shapes. Really really gorgeous.

Trond, whose photo started this gallery, is back with another year and another autumn. I simply loved this quiet, yet highly detailed photo of this beautiful place. (Actually, I see that this is nearly the same place as his first photo in the gallery, up above! The hills/mountains are the same in the background.)
I love how the colors change as my eye goes back into this landscape. Very beautiful, and very unlike anything I see here at home!

Art (not his name, really) is my second-longest contact. I have been marveling, appreciating, enjoying, treasuring, and delighting in his photography for many years now.
He lives in Scotland, in the northern part I believe, and not only does he travel all over his part of Scotland all the time, he is also a prolific photographer who has an amazing photostream.
Here is a beauty from him... he is in some of my other galleries, too. I love this one, with the gleaming water, the wonderful reflections, and the beautiful colors on the autumn hillsides of Scotland. So very excellent!

I have not officially met this photographer, but we commented on a couple of each other's photos recently, and I found this wonderful photo of autumn in Switzerland on their photostream. I was taken with the rich red groundcover, and the steep mountainsides, and delicate trees, and the fog enhancing it all. Beautifully done! Autumn never looks like this where I live!
Nothing here yet.
