Mary Radike Smith says: Birgitta is filling up this gallery with her gorgeous work! She is so talented at creating mood and enhancing the beauty of her already-beautiful photos. I loved this one for the light on water, shore and cliff, and for the movement of the birds, the glow, and the gorgeous texture work which also has so much movement in it. Wonderful balance of light and dark, beautiful composition... just marvelous.

Mary Radike Smith says: Birgitta is back on Flickr and has been doing some beautiful work. Here is an example of a really lovely scene, brought to an extra level of beauty with her texture work.

Mary Radike Smith says: This photo was taken and textured by a very old Flickr friend of mine. It was once in one of my galleries, but frangipani left Flickr for a while during the crazy days of Yahoo messing with everything. Fortunately for me, she came back, and has reposted this masterpiece. I love the feeling of this photo, how extremely tall the trees seem to be, the wonderful golden glow, the overarching limbs of white, and how two of the people on the pathway seem to be wearing old fashioned dresses (although I think it is an illusion), so my imagination makes this a photo from the 1800s. I love this image!

Mary Radike Smith says: Just look at this! It is a work of art. I imagine it was a beautiful photo to start out with, but I am sure Steven (who is a fantastically imaginative photographer with whom I am privileged to be acquainted!) has enhanced the beauty of his photo immeasurably with his expert and artistic use of textures.

Mary Radike Smith says: I love this photographer. She is a consummate artist of texture work and beautiful forms and beautiful light. I could fill up this whole gallery with her work, but I would have trouble choosing which of her works of art to include. Birgitta is from Sweden and this beautiful image is a lovely illustration of that fact. I love everything about this image; the light and delicate forms, the beautiful perfection of the composition, the focal point so clear and clean yet completely created by the framing, the leaning fence, the beauty of the whiteness, and the superiority of the texture work, which brings it all together into one gorgeous work of art.

Mary Radike Smith says: Birgitta is featured above, and in other galleries of mine. I can't get enough of her artistic, beautiful, magical images. Here is a wonderful example of an image made from several photos and textures. Somehow she is able to tie it all together into a coherent whole, and the result is the kind of beauty we can only dream about... usually, anyway!

Mary Radike Smith says: And here is Birgitta again, with this wonderful scene in an old town. She makes it look so much like a master painting. I love everything about this image, the composition and light, the colors and shapes and textures of the houses, the shining water and darker fences, the ducks, and of course the woman stooping over. I think this is amazing work.

Mary Radike Smith says: Birgitta strikes again, with another of her favorite subjects... roses. I think every detail of this composition is perfect, and every detail of her texture work and painting is perfect. Wonderful soft dreaminess, wonderful soft dreamy colors! Wow. An expert at work... right here.
