D is for Deck of Cards

Nothing special, except for the focus stacking. I do like the clarity.

BUT.... this was one of the last focus stacking images I made, before I figured out an easier way to do it. So this was a labor-intensive image!! (If you are curious as to why it was difficult, see the explanation below. If you aren't curious, ignore it!)

This will serve as a shot in the 100x group, and also for the D-day of February Alphabet Fun month group.

(How was it difficult? My new camera takes Raw images which crash my HDR program and makes my Helicon focus program unable to save the images to my computer. So, for a shot like this, with over 60 shots to combine, So, first, I had to upload them from the camera, which, because these images are so huge, took a while. Then I had to edit the Raw images, which took a while for the same reason, Then, I had to go through, one by one, to convert them to TIFFs, so that my programs would work. THAT took a REALLY long time. Then I put the images together in Helicon focus, and then edited the final result. It would take a couple of hours to produce one shot. Then, I would have to get rid of all 60+ images off my Photos app, off of Helicon focus, off of my Photoshop Elements, and then off of the original download folder and off of the folder which held the converted TIFFs. Whew!

What changed was that I figured out how to covert all the images to TIFFs without having to do it one by one. I still have to do all the other stuff! But I like the results.)
