Eclipse - Blood Moon Sept. 27, 2015 IMG_6135
Well, I'm back from the wedding (a week ago) and finally putting up a shot. I don't have time to comment tonight because I spent most of my computer time out in the field with my tripod, trying to get a good shot of the ongoing eclipse of the moon.
It was pretty cool, as our cloud cover parted just long enough for us to see it happening. The clouds came back just as the sunlight completely disappeared off the face of the moon.I got this shot while there was still the tiniest sliver of sunlight on the moon.
It was very difficult, mostly because my lens didn't want to focus, and my eyesight isn't good enough any more to do it manually in dark conditions like this.
Secondly, I need a new tripod. Mine is wobbly.
You can see a hint of the wispy clouds which were partially blurring the moon... they show near the bright edge. A few minutes later the big clouds came and the moon was gone.
However, grainy as it is, I have this shot of the Eclipse "Blood" moon to show you.
