turtles like it in the dark

Since I don't originate from a coastal area all things associated with the beach and water interest me. I came from a land locked state. Here on the island it is not allowed to have lights on at your home or business at night especially during sea turtle hatching season. The baby sea turtles look for light that they think is the moon to guide them to the ocean. Streetlights or other bright lights can misguide them inland causing them to die or to be caught by predators.
