Dolbadarn Castle

The castle, a guardpost at the base of the valley of Nant Peris, was built by Llywelyn ap Iorwerth (Llywelyn the Great) at the foot of Snowdon some time before 1230 and was active through at least 1284 and into the early 15th century.
