IMG_5520 weaver ants

Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand--It looks as those this poor ant's mates are set on killing him. A few minutes later they all ant on about their business. The subject of the abuse seemed no worse for the ware. Anyone have any ideas? I've heard that if an ant gets something on himself that doesn't smell right his coworkers will clean him up.
