Raven In Flight
While visiting RSPB Brading Marshes on the IOW last week, I spotted a small group of Rooks fly out from a tree nearby and out from that group came two huge Crows flying in my direction. They clearly weren't Rooks as they're beaks were just plain black rather than grey.
As soon as I saw them, I was convinced they were Ravens and managed to get a shot of each one as they flew past. Another birdwatcher that I was talking to at the time said that they looked more like Ravens rather than Crows and he said they'd been seen elsewhere on the island before, so I had my hopes up for them to be Ravens and when I sent this shot to Alexthefrog, he confirmed this one as a Raven.
I was very pleased as I'd been wanting to see Ravens for ages and I hope I see some closer to home at somepoint :-)
