batting, embroidery thread, thread &

 

metal snaps mounted on plexi.

 

 

 

“Manipulate” challenges the various forms

 

that a quilt block can take. Rather than

 

repeating a block to create a tiled effect, 16

 

half moon quilted shapes (in essence the

 

block) were created with a snap in each

 

corner. These shapes were then snapped

 

together and manipulated into an origami

 

like sculpture.
