Morgan Library (1906)

Bibliophile heaven. Financier Pierpont Morgan (1837-1912) collected books when he wasn't trying to control the world economy. Famous architect Charles McKim (1847-1909) designed the structure of a splendid library (1906) which has been meticulously restored and was re-opened to the public in 2010.

Ceiling paintings by American muralist Henry Siddons Mowbray (1858-1928).

Siddons Mowbray was actually born in Alexandria Egypt to English parents.
