Goat Castle - Dalkey Heritage Center
The front part - Goat Castle itself - was constructed in the middle of the 15th century as one of several such "storehouse/keeps" in the area. In the late 19th century, an addition was built-on in the rear to serve as the Dalkey Town Hall.
Subsequent changes more recently have transformed the building into the Dalkey Heritage Center - and it is now generally referred to as "Dalkey Castle". It's used for a number of civic and cultural events - including the Dalkey Book Festival.
