Mother's Day-Lexington Park
The Lexington Park retirement home in Topeka, KS. celebrates Mother's Day every year with a unique combination Quilt and Model RailRoading show. The residents all hang their family quilts from the second floor balconies of both the dining room and the great room. The Topeka Model RailRoad Club sets up their modular railroad and operates it over the weekend.
This gives everyone who comes to visit on Mother's Day something to see...the model RR is a big hit with the kids and everyone likes to see the bright quilts that adorn the common areas.
