This pictures gives one a good idea of the geography of the Navajo Nation. It will be barren and flat for some miles, but then an amazing rock feature will pop up. Note the road is nearly empty, but one should not use this as an excuse to speed. The Nation has its own police force, and they partol looking for needed income from traffic tickets.
