Sunrise, Angel's Landing, Zion 2014 - Explore

Perhaps the most beautiful scene I've encountered happened on an early morning hike to Angels Landing in Zion National Park. As we approached the formation, the new sun came over the horizon to spotlight our destination. Below it was a major grove of cottonwood trees. You can just make out the Virgin River at the bottom center of the shot. There was nobody else on the trail and it was quiet enough to hear the birds singing. A great morning!
