All is Calm, All is White, Yosemite Snow 2015

I found this scene after a surprise spring snow fell in the high country of Yosemite. This pond was surrounded by flocked trees and bushes. When I studied the picture I noted that the trees were white, but their reflection was green. I puzzled over that until I realized that the snow was on top of the needles and the water was reflecting the bottoms which were free from the snow. It seems almost an optical illusion.
