When I got up to the Sierra Nevada on my annual trip in Autumn, I was disappointed that the sky was full of smoke. However, I had to make the best of it and I realized that the circumstances gave a rare opportunity. In this case a scene I had shot before was completely transformed by the orange color of the sunlight that came through the smoke.
