Gold in Them Thar Hills, Rock Creek Canyon, Sierra Nevada 10-16

California grew out of the Gold Rush in 1849. Most of that gold is gone now, but each Fall Mother Nature paints her hills with that wonderful color.

This scene was found in Rock Creek Canyon, just south of Mammoth Lakes in the Sierra Nevada.
