The proposal defense went well - I am unofficially a PHD candidate now, and no longer a PHD student. Just have to finish that pesky dissertation. Very nice feedback from my committee - the suggestion that I have the makings of a book was particularly heartening.
But a long two days - flying to VA on Tues, meeting on Wed morning, and flying back Wed night, followed by teaching two back-to-back 2 hour classes this morning didn't leave me time to process my last minute photo I took of the airport parking lot as I was walking to my car with my cell phone until now.
Lots of processing with this - "glowing edges" filter. I'll post the original in the comments.
