Digger Wasp - Oxybelus uniglumis

Numerous seen on sandy path on sand dune system on west coast of Jersey.

They were busy digging nests (as can be seen immediately in front of this one's head) in soft sand and dug frantically and fast and were almost vertical in posture as they dug.
