Green Tiger Beetle larva (Cicindela campestris)

Taken on sandy heathland threatened by housing development in the Cairngorms National Park, Scotland.

Found a few of these fellas hiding in holes waiting for a clumsy ant to wander by. Their jaws are quite impressive!
