WP 2004 (HO Scale)

While going through photos stored on an old computer, I came across some outdoor photos I had shot of my first locomotive detailing project. Western Pacific 2004 was an EMD GP20, built and delivered in 1959.

The 1/87-scale model is a Lifelike Proto 2000, factory painted and mostly detailed for the WP prototype (it even came with the barrel headlights). I added the Nathan M5 horn, sunshades, MU sockets and the firecracker antenna, plus I painted the handrails and coupler cut levers orange. The "weathering" is a layer of Dull-Cote. The most glaring detail inaccuracy is the placement of the bell, which should be mounted directly on top of the long hood immediately adjacent to where it currently is.
