D&RG 550

48-foot wood combination baggage-coach, built by Pullman in 1890. It was purchased in 1924 by the Western Pacific from the Denver & Rio Grande, where it had been numbered 550. WP numbered it 402. After being overhauled, it was used in mixed train service on the Reno Branch. It is now preserved as the D&RG 550 at the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento. This car is rarely stored outside; however they had to make room in the Central Pacific depot for a venue for the Jazz Festival.
