"Brighton, Ore."
This is a scan of a "Ye Older Post Card" that I bought at an antique shop in Sacramento, California. On the back, it says that it is a "Mayer original historic photo" with the years 1913 and 1916 on either side of that statement.
Also from the back: "Brighton-Mills Co. seen with a freight train steaming by in the foreground and the NEHALEM BAR is seen in the background. Things sure were bustling them days."
This was the Southern Pacific Railroad's Tillamook Branch. It is now owned by the Port of Tillamook Bay Railroad; the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad runs trains from Garibaldi to Wheeler by way of Brighton.
