DOUG MILLS FILMS "THE LAST RIDE" CADDY
A film about the last road tour of Hank Williams Sr. is being planned by veteran director Harry Thomason. The film needed footage of a similar Caddy coming through the area of Roane County, so Bill Landry was hired to coordinate and direct a shoot by Doug Mills, starring vintage autos from Roane County citizens.
This 1953 Caddy, belonging to Rex Walls of Harriman, was the star! Although the actual car belonging to Hank was a '52, this car is so similar it is hard to tell any difference.
