There is no sphere
This is a raytraced image done with povray. The scene is very simple: it only contains three small spheres, a lagre one containing the whole setting, one lightsource, no shadows.
The thing is that all surfaces are 100% reflective, and the trace-depth is as deep as 50 reflections.
There is also a HDR involved, because the brightness contrasts would be too strong. The resulting transmission function would look like 2 sawteeth. Does anyone know how to handle that in povray directly?
