Starry Starry Night... Maligne Lake, Jasper

A wonderful Starry Night at my favorite and enchanted corner of Maligne Lake, Jasper, Canada.
For this image we drove at 2:00am for an hour, to get here on time before daybreak. In the summer, nights are shorter and daybreak is earlier than the rest of the year. With sunrise set for 5:37am, one needs to be in place more than the usual one hour prior to sunrise, for that first light. The drive is in the middle of the night, on a road full of animals crossing signs. To me, part of the charm of this picture is the Boat House's golden light, against the cool backdrop of the lake and mountains. This continues to be one of the most heartwarming corners, I've been to. A piece of my heart will always be here.

En el verano, las noches son cortas y los amaneceres mas temprano que el resto del año. Con el amanecer a las 5:37am, se necesita estar en el lugar al menos una hora antes, para poder captar la magia de esa primera luz. Manejamos a las 2:00am para poder llegar a tiempo y poder hacer estas nocturnas. El camino es muy oscuro, con letreros de animales cruzando la carretera. Para mi la magia de esta fotografía es la casita iluminada con esa luz tibia y dorada contrastando ese escenario frío que proporciona el lago Y las Montañas. Este es uno de mis rincones favorito en Las Rocosas Canadienses. Este lugar siempre ocupara un rincón muy especial en mi corazón.
