Do the big institutions dominate the action on SecondMarket? Not quite! In dollar terms, close to half of the year’s transaction (through the end of June) came from accredited investors. By transaction, it was more than half. Hedge funds committed disproportionate dollar amounts relative to the number of transactions, and asset managers were fairly active.
