La Digue Twilight
Dusk approaches La Digue in the Seychelles as seen from the Northern point between Anse Severe and Anse Patates. There was occasional lightning in the distance and I spent the last few minutes of twilight making increasingly long exposures in the hopes of capturing a few bolts. It was not to be as the lightning really only illuminated the clouds without any evident streaks recording as seen here. The scene was not nearly as bright as this image would have you believe. The tiny island on the horizon is known as Ave Maria. It is a collection of huge granite boulders that is popular as both a dive site and, per the locals, is also of some religious significance.
Cheers!
