Widow Skimmer
A handsome male Widow Skimmer from Mill Pond last week. Years ago, when I first started to document the fauna at the pond, it seemed the most abundant Odonata species were the common Pondhawks. I'm unsure if such changes are cyclical or the result of some other influence. At any rate they are all interesting creatures to investigate up close.
