White-faced Meadowhawk close-up

The same meadowhawk as in a previous photograph but a close look at his happy and yet deceivingly peaceful face. Terrific fliers and predators. This one kept returning to his same favorite perch and eventually ignored me. The rewards of persistence I guess. What a beauty. Maybe he thought I was edible? I love the little details of his face and wing when viewed at the large size.
